Back the Blue Labor Day BBQ 2020

Updated: Sep 17, 2020

Saturday September 5th, 2020 was our Back the Blue Labor Day BBQ. In an effort to show our community that the noise around the Nation is serious and our time to change is NOW. 307 Patriots put together a BBQ, backing our Blue's and First Responders.

We served hot dogs and hamburgers, chips and sodas. We had live music from Ron Sawyer, JR's Laser Tag, Fun on the Go and from 2-5, Gillette P.D, Campbell County Sheriff's Office and the Campbell County Fire Department went head to head in four games of softball!

The winner of the Championship softball game between rivals, Gillette P.D. and Campbell County Sheriff's Office had the opportunity to take home a beautiful custom made trophy made by BJ Friedly from Red River in Gillette!

The 307 Committee joined the Gillette Cub Scouts on the field for a Moment of Silence for our fallen blues and first responders, lead by one of our very own, Ashley Ruff, following the National Anthem sung by Kyla Rae Colburn.

Speeches were given by the Committee to the Men and Women in Blue and our First Responders. Local businesses donated items for raffles and everyone had a wonderful time showing support to our blues!

We really enjoyed being able to show our Local Law Enforcement and First Responders how thankful we are to have them put their lives on the line, selflessly to protect us.

It really goes to show how a group of strangers can grow into a family!

Thank you to everyone who volunteered, to our Committee Members, to the vendors, our sponsors, our community and most of all, OUR BLUES!

Oh, and in the end, Gillette P.D. took home the trophy!! Congrats!!
